The international airport "Dionysios Solomos" is at 4km of distance from the town of Zakynthos. There are regular daily flights from the new Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" - it inaugurated its operation on March 28, 2001- to "Dionysios Solomos"Airport by Olympic Airways. Flight time is approximately 45 minutes.
There is also a big number of chartered flights to and from all around Europe.
There is not public transportation connecting the airport to the town. Only taxi services are available.

• KYLLINI - ZAKYNTHOS

The island is linked by car-ferry with the port of Kyllini on the northwestern coast of Peloponnese. There are at least four departures per day. The distance is 18 nautical miles and the duration of crossing is about one hour.

• KEFALONIA-ZAKYNTHOS

The port of Ag. Nikolaos (Volimes) is linked by car-ferry with the port of Pessada on Kefalonia island. There are daily services to and from Kefalonia on the summer season.
The duration of crossing is about one hour.

There are bus services by Greek Road Transport Company (KTEL) from tree major citys of Greece (Athens, Patras & Thessaloniki) to the port of Kyllini.

ATHENS - ZAKYNTHOS

There are daily bus services by Greek Road Transport Company (KTEL) from Athens to the port of Kyllini, The distance from Athens to Kyllini is 286 kilometres and the journey takes about four and a half hours. From Kyllini there is a direct link by car-ferry to Zakynthos.
